School Performance – Macbeth Muet at Valspec

La Fille du Laitier is pleased to offer a school performance of its show Macbeth Muet at Valspec, on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 1:30 PM, at the Salle Albert-Dumouchel. Intended for secondary cycle 2 students, this field trip also includes a preparatory in-class workshop, offered before the performance (mandatory workshop).

Macbeth Muet

In this wordless adaptation of Shakespeare’s tragedy, Macbeth Muet immerses the audience in a world at the crossroads of silent film, grand guignol, and object theatre. The famous tale of Macbeth, a loyal soldier who spirals into murderous madness after the prophecy of three witches, is reimagined in a highly visual and physical form of great intensity.

Driven by an immersive soundtrack and meticulously choreographed movement, this wild and visceral version portrays the cursed couple in a frenzied race for power. Bodies, everyday objects, and geysers of fake blood intertwine in an aesthetic both comic and macabre. Macbeth Muet deconstructs a classical work with finesse and humor to create a sensory theatrical experience, where the thirst for power proves as absurd as it is relentless.
